Operation

The HETO paperpot machine produces paperpots using growing substrate and heat-sealable nonwoven material.

Loose or slightly cohesive growing substrate is fed through a hopper equipped with a motor-driven agitator. The agitator ensures a consistent supply of substrate to the Venturi system.

The nonwoven material is unwound from a roll, guided through a roller and folding mechanism, and wrapped around a tube. The upper seam is sealed using a heating element, creating a continuous tube with the required diameter.

At the same time, growing substrate is fed into the tube through a Venturi system using compressed air. The resulting continuous paperpot tube is transported forward by feed pins and cut to the required length using a high-speed, self-sharpening blade.
